As the name implies, this company does R&D in the nanotech field. The problem is that it is an incredibly competitive field where billions can be spent on product development only to have someone else beat you to market. Nanotech has figured out a way to help keep its R&D funded: Designer drugs. Nanotech has begun developing and selling designer drugs, off the books of course, as a way to fund its legitimate research. If the plan works well, they will be able pull ahead in the nanotech race. If it works really well, they may well quit nanotechnology and just make the drugs.
