Based out of Stuttgart, Germany, Bauer Biotech is a division of Dornier Aerospace. Dornier developed the Hermes space plane, a workhorse of orbital expansion. They acquired Bauer and pumped money into the company allowing it to greatly expand its orbital genetics research. They made a name for themselves when they found a way to suppress the sickle cell gene.
