Brainworm is a device invented by Amelthia Lau, its development funded by Arasaka. The Brainworm is implanted onto the targets spine at the base of the neck, making it nearly impossible for the individual to access certain memories. These lost memories can be restored if the device is removed, although the process is extremely dangerous.
