The Church of Elvis was officially founded in 2017. Contrary to popular belief, they do not worship Elvis as a good, but as a great prophet. The lyrics of his songs are treated as scriptures providing guidance through life.

Services include a preacher in a sequin jumpsuit providing a sermon around one of Elvis’ songs. Naturally all of the hymns are his songs.

The Church of Elvis is mostly prominent in the south, but there are churches in every state.
