The Combat Zone is an area of Night City where the corporations have abandoned control. Because all municipal services are run by the corporations, services like police and fire department do not extend into this zone. As a result, it is pretty much anarchy. The name comes from the fact that booster gangs constantly fight with each other over control of turf within the zone. The Combat Zone is home to most of the destitute population of Night City who constantly find themselves in the crossfire.
