Gastrophage is a biological delivery system developed by Biotechnica. It was originally designed as a way to attach an build nano-ware technology to specific organs by having them absorbed through the digestive tract. The project was less than successful, however, and almost scrapped.

But then the CIA and its money got involved and Gastrophage was repurposed as a viral delivery system that could target specific organs. Biotechnica had just perfected it when Infocomp had the technology stolen.
