NetWatch is a policing organization designed to patrol the Net, looking for illegal activity. Governments, individual corporations, and other large groups contribute money, equipement, and their best netrunners to the NetWatch orginization. The NetCops are equipped with the best software including “arrest” programs that can freeze a netrunner and prevent him from jacking out. NetCops have free run of the Net, with the goal of arresting or imprisoning hackers, although they have been known to use lethal anti-personnel programs on occasion.
