In the mid 2000s, EBM already one of the largest computer manufacturing companies in the world, and one of the most significant corporations in existence, pulled off the greatest free-market hostile takeover in history. Led by master corporate raider Dr. Kurt Muller, this event led to the merger of EBM with several of their largest competitors, consolidating EBMs control of the market share. This also led to an expansion into new markets including bio-technology.

EBM is based in Hamburg, Germany with major offices in Berlin, Rome, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm, Geneva, Olso, Helsinki, London, Tokyo, Cairo, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, Dallas, New York, and Hong Kong. They have approximately 150,000 employees worldwide, with a security force of over 6,000.
